Thanks to all that have dropped me a line. Many have suggested drumming legend Aynsley Dunbar as our mystery man.
I’ve dropped Aynsley an email, so hopefully we’ll have the official word very soon.
In the meantime, I’ve got something for you to look at. I’ve put together a terribly formatted montage of Mr X and Aynsley. The centre shot is a screengrab from the ‘1980 Floor Show’ – Ziggy’s last outing featuring Aynsley Dunbar as standby-spider on drums. You’ll notice that Aynsley’s hair is considerably longer than Mr X’s in the Cafe Royal photo.
The bottom shot, is another image from the Ziggy party. The guy I’ve circled in red is, apparantly, Aynsley Dunbar.
